The perfect gift ides for valentines day

Valentine's Day can sound fun and romantic, but it can also be stressful for many given the fact that they have to make sure they don't mess it up for themselves or their partners. There are some who don't like big gestures, some who hate gifts but some who love them! The bag is really mixed and their no way one can make it absolutely perfect. There is no harm in making it perfectly imperfect though.

Here are 5 tips to getting the (im)perfect gift for your partner that you can't go wrong with:

1.  Avoid materialistic gifts

Gift them an experience, not something that they could buy themselves. Maybe take them out on a, a play or a Prateek Kuhad concert! Or gift them something usable, like a perfume, a book or a bath accessory. Avoid giving them things that are overdone and cliché because I'm sure they deserve better.

2. Don’t ask, even you are confused

Even if you really don't have a clue about what to give them, do not talk to them about it. Ask them what they want much prior or at a point when they would not be suspicious. It will most probably take a little bit of work from your end, but let it be a surprise and something you put your thought into.

3. Get a fun gift to be followed by the actual one

Get them something fun that will make their expectations drop a few beats and then do the grand reveal. This way, they will associate the memory of you giving the gift with happiness and joy. Make a sock puppet or maybe an origami ring. It will sure be thing you'll talk about for a long time to come.

4. Get something that will last

Get something long term. An item that will last for a long time to come and will remind them of you all the time. Bath and Body accessories, Smart Home speakers, a set of essential oils or some kind of s subscription is the way to go.

5.  Personalise. Personalise. Personalise.

Let them know you really care. Get them something you made or got personalised. There is nothing more intimate and beautiful than something that you made with your own hands or personalised, regardless of how unprofessional or imperfect it may look. They will appreciate your effort and love and will surely treasure whatever you give them.

At the end of the day, you do what you want. There are no set rules on how you should show your love towards your partner. Try to be as original as you can and follow your instincts, that way you can take the full credit later. All the best!
